The Saïd Business School is looking for a Research Assistant to support a project on Financial Inclusion, Fairness and Stability in the AI Era, which is managed by Prof Ansgar Walther.  

The successful candidate will work closely with faculty involved in the project, supporting the delivery of various related research projects in financial economics. The postholder will be a member of the Saïd Business School’s research community with access to internal research seminars and other professional development programmes. 
 
This is an excellent opportunity to gain academic research experience and to learn from leading academics. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong research background and a pro-active approach to learning new skills. We’re looking for candidates with proficiency in quantitative methods, particularly those related to machine learning technologies. A recent degree in the economics or finance — and a desire to pursue a research career in economics of finance after completion of the post — would be beneficial. Experience working with academic faculty on advanced research projects would be an advantage.
