About us
King’s College London is a world‑leading university, renowned for its research excellence and commitment to an outstanding student experience. King’s Doctoral College sits within Research Management & Innovation and supports postgraduate research students across the university.
Through King’s Doctoral College, King’s delivers a range of funded doctoral training programmes and studentships, including the Medical Research Council (MRC) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). The MRC DTP is a well‑established PhD programme in biomedical sciences, working with students, supervisors and professional services colleagues across King’s to deliver a high‑quality doctoral training experience.
About the role
We are seeking an organised, proactive and reliable administrator to join the MRC DTP Operations & Delivery Team. The MRC DTP Administrator plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of the programme, providing high‑quality administrative support across the student lifecycle, recruitment activity, events, meetings and day‑to‑day operations.
Working closely with the MRC DTP Manager, the DTP Executive Team and colleagues across the university, the postholder will support students, liaise with academic and professional services staff, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the smooth progression of work across the programme. The role involves managing multiple tasks at once, following up on actions, and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
The postholder will support the organisation and delivery of DTP events and meetings, including providing on‑the‑day administrative support, and will work collaboratively with all members of the Operations & Delivery Team to ensure colleagues feel supported and activity progresses efficiently. This role requires someone who is confident working independently, but who also enjoys being part of a team and contributing to shared objectives.
This role would be particularly well suited to an administrator who is keen to develop their skills within doctoral programme support and the higher education sector. The postholder will be supported and developed by the DTP Manager and colleagues, with opportunities to build experience across a wide range of activities within a large and complex university environment.
The role is full time (35 hours per week), offered on an indefinite contract, and operates under a hybrid working pattern, with an expectation to work on campus two days per week (usually Monday and Wednesday), with the remainder working from home.
