Description of Post
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching in general pathology, systemic pathology and diagnostic pathology, linking pathological processes with clinical disease, diagnostic investigation and case-based learning.
A key component of the role will involve contributing to the development of a commercial veterinary diagnostic pathology service to support veterinary practitioners across Ireland as well as the clinical services associated with the university’s developing veterinary teaching hospital.
This diagnostic service will provide pathology support to veterinary practices while also supporting teaching, research and clinical training within the veterinary programme.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a suitable teaching and learning programme in line with the requirements of the Veterinary Council of Ireland. An applicant who has not completed such training will be deemed to have met the minimum requirements upon receipt of a commitment to commence appropriate training within one year of appointment.
