This full time post is available immediately on a fixed term contract and is funded by The Wellcome Trust until 30/04/2027. 

Salary will be from £34,610 (pro rata if part-time) on Grade E for the Postdoctoral Research Associate level and from £43,482 (pro rata if part-time) on Grade F for the Postdoctoral Research Fellow level, subject to knowledge, skills and experience.

The Role

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate or Fellow to participate in our Wellcome Trust funded project Blended Delivery Of Cognitive-behavioural Therapy For Repetitive Negative Thought Within Mental Health Support Teams As Scalable Early Intervention, which is focused on co-adapting a digital CBT intervention for mental health support teams in schools, mapping implementation and sustainability pathways, and planning a definitive trial to evaluate effectiveness and cost-effectiveness. The successful applicant will be central to the coordination, delivery, and analysis of  journey mapping and co-design workshops with young people and relevant stakeholders.

The post will include the delivery of participatory research methods focused on mapping effective implementation of a psychological intervention in schools, building stakeholder relationships, and co-design and qualitative research to adapt an existing digital intervention. 

About You

Postdoctoral Research Associate: The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in Psychology or a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to effectively conduct participatory research methods, implementation research methods and co-design work with people with lived experience and other stakeholders. 

Postdoctoral Research Fellow: The successful applicant will be able to develop research objectives, projects and proposals; identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in Psychology or a related field of study. The successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority in Psychology and possess sufficient relevant specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies. The successful applicant will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required. Applicants will be able to effectively lead participatory research methods, implementation research methods and co-design work with people with lived experience and other stakeholders.
