This part-time post (0.4 FTE) is available from 1 July 2026. The post is offered as a fixed term contract and is funded by the NIHR (Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration) until 30 June 2027.    

Salary will be from £33,951 per annum pro rata on Grade E for the Graduate Research Assistant level role and from £34,610 per annum pro rata on Grade E for the Postdoctoral Research Associate level, subject to knowledge, skills and experience. 

The Role
 

Psychology, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences
 
The Faculty wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Dr Maddy Greville-Harris on Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). The successful applicant will support the delivery of this NIHR funded project “Co-Developing a Video-Based Intervention to Support Parents of Children with ARFID: An Early Evaluation”. The post will include co-ordinating patient and public involvement activities, specifically liaising with lived experience consultants (parents of children and young people with ARFID) to develop and refine intervention materials. It will also involve designing and disseminating qualitative and quantitative-based surveys for pilot testing of the intervention, analysing data and writing up findings for dissemination.
 
About You
 

For the Graduate Research Assistant role:

Applicants will be able to support delivery of co-development research, including liaising with lived experience consultants and stakeholders. They will be able to collect and analyse qualitative/quantitative data and have experience of managing research project(s). Understanding/experience of working with clinical populations (particularly relevant to eating disorders/ARFID) will be desirable.

For the Postdoctoral Research Associate role:

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. Applicants will be able to support delivery of co-development research, including liaising with lived experience consultants and stakeholders. They will be able to collect and analyse qualitative/quantitative data and have experience of managing research project(s). Understanding/experience of working with clinical populations (particularly relevant to eating disorders/ARFID), and skills in leading patient and public engagement activities, will be desirable.
