We are seeking to appoint a Research Nurse who will be supporting the NIHR BioResource projects in the Oxford University Hospital Biomedical Research Centre. You will report to the NIHR BioResource Centre Coordinator and Research Lead for Oxford. This role is based on Old Road Campus, at the Oxford Children’s Hospital, and relevant community settings
You will be responsible for recruiting and screening new participants in order to establish their eligibility and safety to enter the study and to register/randomise participants into studies. You will also facilitate the informed consent process and provide ongoing information, education and support to participants. Other duties will including co-ordinating the care of clinical study participants and collect blood and other samples as required by the study protocol. You will also need to ensure that study specific investigations are undertaken as required by the study protocol.
It is essential that you are a registered qualified Nurse (NMC registration) and hold a Dip HE, BSc, BA or equivalent in nursing or another relevant subject. You must have evidence of continuous professional/academic development in healthcare or community setting and you must be competent with working with confidential information.
