CDUTCM-Keele Joint Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, founded in 2023, is a collaborative provision between Keele University - renowned for its highly-ranked medical programmes in England and CDUTCM - a leading “Double First-Class” institution in China.

The first year of the joint provision is an International Foundation Prorgamme (IFP) with modules from the Keele Language Centre, comprising of a range of subjects including applied English skills, general study skills, academic writing, and critical thinking skills to prepare students for success in their undergraduate degree study. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, innovative teaching (up to 20 class periods weekly) and provide at least 6 class periods weekly as office hours that inspires and engages students, using diverse methods and technologies aligned with Keele’s and CDUTCM academic standards.
  • Provide comprehensive academic support and mentorship, fostering student success and personal development throughout their learning journey.
  • Assist Head of IFP with other initiatives developed to support and enhance student learning as and when required.

Selection Criteria:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ideally at least two years of full-time teaching experience in English language related subjects in an Higher Education insitution.
  • A English language teaching qualification - CELTA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Non-native English-speaking candidates need to evidence their English language proficiency at IELTS 7.5 or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and established/emerging leadership experience.
  • Cultural adaptability and experience developing curricula for varied educational contexts.
