The University of Reading is seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Digital Media to join the Department of English Language and Applied Linguistics.
The Department of English Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of Reading has a long-standing international reputation for excellence in teaching and research in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and was among the first departments in the UK to offer degree programmes in these areas. Alongside our established expertise in Sociolinguistics, Phonetics, Psycholinguistics, Applied Linguistics, TESOL and Language Assessment, we are expanding our provision in Digital Media and Communication. We particularly welcome candidates with teaching and research experience in digital media and communication, with a focus on the communicative and pedagogical applications of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, and their implications for language, discourse, TESOL, and professional communication.
