About the Role
Based in a creative and culturally diverse area of east London, we are the only London University able to offer a completely integrated large scale residential campus. Our Inner London Campuses will support the University 2030 Strategy by being vibrant, ambitious, diverse, inclusive, sustainable, safe and welcoming.
The post holder will shape and drive the University’s commercial assets to maximise and increase the year round returns from the estate and our commercially trading services. This new and exciting role brings together the full range of Commercial, Residential, Estates Management and Facilities Management Services. This portfolio provides tangible service transformation opportunities in support of world-class academic activities and exceptional student/staff experience.
About You

We are seeking an individual with experience in leading transformational change a across large, complex organisations with a broad range of core activities. With a relevant industry background and professional qualification, you will possess a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer focussed commercial and support services. You will possess excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. You will set clear direction and consistently deliver through motivated, well equipped, high performing teams.

The Directorate is one of the largest departments within Queen Mary, University of London and is committed to supporting and promoting student wellbeing at the College, and providing the highest standards of estates and facilities across the university, preparing and helping to sustain the University’s working and learning environmental for students, staff, stakeholders, and guests by ensuring safe environments, security and cleanliness.
