About the role
The postholder will be based within the Research into Eating, ACtivity and Health (REACH) group, in the Research Department of Behavioural Science and Health at UCL. The project aims to better understand physical activity in UK pregnant women, to improve health and wellbeing in women and their children.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of epidemiological research and be expected to take undertake advanced quantitative analyses, including using longitudinal and routinely collected data, and writing relevant research papers. Demonstrable experience and confidence in liaising with multiple external (NHS) collaborators/sites will be required.

About you
You will have a PhD in epidemiology, public health or related area; expertise in advanced quantitative methods and one or more of the following areas: physical activity epidemiology; women’s reproductive health; surveillance epidemiology. You should have high-quality academic publications, evidence of undertaking research into women’s health or maternity care, and demonstrable skill in planning and undertaking advance quantitative analysis. You will have experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders and NHS professionals, knowledge of good clinical practice, and experience of undertaking Participant Involvement and Engagement activities. You must be able to manage time, prioritise workloads, resolve research challenges and work to deadlines across several tasks.
