Job description:
We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Teacher in Outreach (Dentistry) to support the delivery of undergraduate clinical education within our outreach programme.
This role would suit an experienced dental practitioner with an interest in dental education and training in primary care settings. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of learning and teaching for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy (DH&DT) undergraduate programmes, supporting students during their outreach placements in general dental practice.
You will work closely with partner practices across the region to help ensure that students gain high-quality clinical experience in real-world primary care environments. The role also involves participation in clinical governance activities, staff development, and the University’s Staff Review and Development Scheme (SRDS).
Where appropriate, an honorary clinical contract will be sought with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The University offers an excellent Total Reward Package including a competitive salary, generous pension scheme, and a wide range of learning and development opportunities to support your professional growth.
We are committed to building diverse and inclusive teams. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and believe that diversity strengthens our research, teaching, and student experience.
