An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation Science in the Department of Biology for a 10-month maternity cover position. The role is based in central Oxford and is 0.8FTE, however requests will be considered to a minimum of 0.6 FTE.
About the role
This is a varied and exciting role in a friendly research group. You will take initiative and work as part of a team, with responsibilities ranging from managing the diaries of senior staff, supporting students, staff and visitors with their administrative needs, to website maintenance, events organisation, and financial administration. The role involves daily engagement with students, visitors and staff working in wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability both in the UK and overseas, within a busy and supportive research and educational environment.
About You
You will be a proactive self-starter, comfortable with working on your own initiative and within a team to achieve objectives. Experience of managing administrative processes and balancing a varied workload is critical to this role, but that experience could be within a range of different settings (including, for example, completing a Masters degree). You will also possess excellent communication skills, be very well organised, and have a very high level of attention to detail.
