About the Role

Informal Queries

Flexible Working

  • We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.

We are seeking a proactive and forward-thinking Talent Officer to join our People team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and enhance how we attract, develop, and retain talent across the University.

You will play a key role in delivering inclusive and innovative talent initiatives, supporting the development of diverse talent pipelines while enhancing both employee and candidate experience.

Working closely with the Recruitment team and reporting to the Head of Talent, this role will have a strong focus on supporting and delivering talent development initiatives across the University. While experience in talent acquisition is beneficial, it is not essential; experience in talent development and supporting career progression is highly desirable.

About You

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting talent development and creating opportunities for individuals to grow and progress.

You will bring experience within HR or Talent, with a strong understanding of talent development practices, and a track record of identifying development needs and contributing to initiatives that strengthen career pathways, succession planning, and retention.

You are analytical and comfortable using data and insights to understand workforce trends and inform practical, evidence-based improvements.

A confident communicator, you build strong relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively to deliver people-focused solutions.

Proactive and well organised, you are comfortable managing projects and driving continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering meaningful impact across the employee lifecycle.
