Aberdeen Business School seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Digital and Business Transformation to join its dynamic and forward-looking team. As part of recently developments across the undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio and a move to embed applied AI management education across the Business School, we are seeking an individual with expertise in AI for business, digital transformation, organisational change, and management education to contribute to this growing field of study.
This important role will contribute across undergraduate, postgraduate, and short-course provision, including contributions to the Digital and Business Transformation module across specialist MBA pathways and in the development of a new AI for Business module to be delivered across the broader portfolio.
You will help prepare students from across the school - from undergraduate, through to postgraduate and executive students - to understand, evaluate and lead AI-enabled transformation, equipping them to make informed strategic decisions.
Your main duties will include leading curriculum development in Digital and Business Transformation, and in AI for Business, supporting the embedding of AI literacy, ethical awareness and good practice across the Business School and engaging with external partners to ensure teaching remains current, applied and industry-relevant.
You will have significant knowledge and subject expertise evidenced by related teaching and research and/or relevant professional experience and be able to foster and develop collaborative links with academic, business, charitable and public-sector partners. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates with professional experience in AI strategy, digital transformation and organisational change, as well as those with an academic teaching and / or research background in related areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of business education at RGU, at a time of rapid technological and organisational change. The School has already established expertise in related areas and has ambitious research and development plans going forward. You will be expected to play a significant role in extending provision in this area.
In keeping with RGU's commitment to work/life balance you will have the opportunity to work from home for a portion of the working week, but you must be in a position to deliver teaching on campus to meet the requirements of the course. You also will benefit from a generous pension scheme, 46 days annual leave, onsite nursery, sports centre as well as a range of voluntary health and travel benefits.
As per the UKVI immigration rules, this role may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship under this route is dependent on factors specific to the applicant and if tradeable points can be used under the rules.
