About the School or About the Department
The School of Science, Environment and Engineering (SEE) is an inter-disciplinary School comprising world-leading research and industry-relevant teaching that aims to transform the quality of life for society and deliver a more sustainable future. We have been leading the international research agenda in the built environment for more than 20 years, and the University’s Campus Masterplan includes our Energy House 2.0, a sustainable construction testing facility focussed upon accelerating progress towards net zero housing design. We have a long tradition of delivering flexible teaching programmes that are accredited by organisations such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Building, and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. Our multi-disciplinary team of academics, researchers and practitioners collaborate closely with industry and as a result many of our graduates then go on to hold leadership positions in industry and academia in the UK and throughout the world.
