About this role
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most active and ambitious research centres at Imperial at a pivotal moment in its growth. CHEPI sits at the intersection of health economics, real-world policy, and global public health — and this role puts you right at the heart of it.
We are looking for a driven and highly organised Research Manager to lead the operational delivery of CHEPI’s complex, multi-partner research portfolio. You will work directly with the Executive Director and Academic Director, attend high-level meetings with international partners and collaborators, and play a central role in enabling some of the world’s most important health policy research. If you want a role where no two days are alike — where you will coordinate an international consortium in the morning and help shape a major grant application in the afternoon — this is it.
What you will be doing
You will be the person who makes CHEPI's research happen — keeping complex, multi-partner projects on track, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks, and freeing up our researchers to focus on the science. You will work closely alongside the Centre Administrator and Executive Director to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, with your primary focus on the research lifecycle: from grant applications through to delivery, reporting, and dissemination.
Crucially, you will also be the primary interface between CHEPI's researchers and the external world — acting as the link between our academic team and funders, project officers, and institutional partners. Researchers should be able to rely on you to translate the administrative and compliance demands of research funding into smooth, manageable processes, so they can focus on the science.
This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility role for someone early in their career who wants to learn fast. You will sit in meetings with international stakeholders, be the go-to contact for research collaborators across Europe, and get exposure to the full breadth of how a world-class research centre operates. No two days will look the same.

Experience in event management or research communications is a bonus, but not essential — we're more interested in the right person than the right CV.
