The School
History, clustered within the School of Humanities, is an ambitious academic unit. Our burgeoning national and international research profile, excellent teaching and learning, and welcoming and inclusive ethos supports an exceptional student experience (achieving 100% positive scores in teaching questions in the recent National Student Surveys).
The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer to contribute to our vibrant undergraduate and postgraduate offers in History. The majority of your work will involve teaching in a variety of settings, including small group tutorials/seminars and lectures; assessment; and the provision of academic support to students. The successful candidate will also be supported in developing their research profile.
Required skills and experience
Candidates will have expertise in teaching modern American History at undergraduate level, as well as an interest in developing postgraduate provision in the future.

It is essential that candidates hold a doctoral level qualification.
