Currently, we are accepting applications for the post of Lecturer in Computer Science, which will support students from Edinburgh Napier International College on a temporary Guaranteed Hours basis.
The role:
As Lecturer in Computer Science, you will be in an excellent position to use your knowledge and understanding of foundational Computer Science to support students transitioning from ENUIC to Edinburgh Napier University.
The post will provide you with the opportunity to use your excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills to engage and inspire our students, while monitoring their performance and working with our Academic Skills colleagues and other University services to support their progress.
You will also be given the remit to undertake formative assessment of these students, using assessment instruments provided, and under the guidance of experienced staff, work collegiately to help deliver an excellent learning and teaching experience for all involved.
Furthermore, you will be mentored and guided by Edinburgh Napier staff in developing your research and the delivery of modules, using pre-existing course delivery plans and materials. This will give you the opportunity to work closely with module and programme teams and team leaders, enabling you to work to high standards and potentially make suggestions based on your own skills and experience to enhance the curriculum. Your research will be supported by our research and innovation services.
