Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting a Teacher of Equine (Maternity Cover) to join our team at the beautiful Broomfield Hall campus. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our FE and HE programmes, with a sole focus on delivering riding lessons and practical stable management planning, delivery and assessment.
The Opportunity
As a key member of the Equine team, you will contribute to the planning, resourcing, and delivery of high-quality teaching and assessment, with a focus on delivering riding lessons and practical stable management such as health, behaviour and groundwork. The role includes responsibility for all FE and HE riding lessons and internal quality assurance, as well as actively supporting student progress and achievement. This will involve setting and reviewing academic targets, monitoring performance, and providing appropriate pastoral support to students.
You will also play an active role in course-related trips and visits, student recruitment activities, open days, and information evenings. In addition, you’ll support student work experience on the college yard as part of their programme, ensuring that all college and awarding body requirements and standards are consistently met.
