The Faculty of Social Science invites applications for the post of Professor. The appointee will be expected to serve as the inaugural Director for the new inter-Faculty undergraduate programme in Diplomacy and International Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). This innovative programme aims to nurture high-level, interdisciplinary talent who are proficient in both Chinese and Western cultures and are prepared to excel in international relations, international organizations and diplomatic arenas. With a particular focus on China’s role in global governance, the programme sees to students’ developing a deep understanding of the historical, cultural, and political dimensions of China’s engagement in international affairs. The Faculty is seeking a visionary leader with demonstrated commitment to teaching, programme management, and the development of this distinctive new initiative.
