We are currently inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Professor Alain Goriely FRS at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a 2-year, fixed-term position, funded by a research grant from the Human Frontier Science Program. The starting date of this position is 1 September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful candidate will be part of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research in the mathematical modelling of nano-morphogenesis and related fields as part of the HFSP grant “mech.nano.morph: Decoding mechanical principles of nanometric morphogenesis”.
They will contribute to the activities of the wider research group of Prof. Goriely, collaborate with the other partners, and write up the results of their work with their co-authors, for publication in refereed journals and proceedings. There will be opportunities to contribute a small amount of teaching to the department, of at most three hours a week during the academic terms.
