Are you a proactive and well-organised professional with a genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Access Service, where your coordination and administrative skills will play a key role in supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds to transform their futures.

We are seeking a collaborative individual who believes that background should not limit opportunity. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to ensure our Access to Sheffield programmes run smoothly and effectively, while contributing to a positive experience for both participants and partners. You will bring an understanding of the barriers faced by underrepresented groups, alongside a commitment to supporting inclusive approaches that widen participation in Higher Education. Candidates should be educated to a minimum of A level (or equivalent) or have relevant experience, with strong organisational, customer service and communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

If you are committed to widening participation, thrive in a collaborative environment, and take pride in keeping activity running smoothly and effectively, we would love to hear from you.

The Role and Your Impact:

As an Access Co-ordinator supporting our  Access to Sheffield (Y12-13) activities, you will play a key supporting role in our collaborative activities. You will use your relationship management skills to help coordinate essential activity, supporting the University’s reputation and the effective delivery of our targeted interventions. You will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellent access initiatives that support underrepresented groups by working collaboratively with internal and external partners to help shape and deliver targeted interventions.

Our Department

You will join the Access Service in Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications (MARC), a dedicated team committed to delivering an evidence-based curriculum that enhances equality and inclusion. We pride ourselves on a culture where everyone feels they belong. Focussing on prospective student engagement, you will be an integral part of our wider department, contributing to service-wide planning and delivery and collaborative success.
