The opportunity

You will play a vital role the design, delivery and ongoing development of the University of Liverpool’s new MPharm programme, launching in September 2026. As part of a growing and ambitious School, you will contribute to a future-facing, integrated curriculum aligned to GPhC standards, with a strong emphasis on clinical practice, prescribing readiness, experiential learning, and simulation-based education.

You will take on programme-level leadership responsibilities, shaping key areas of the curriculum while delivering high-quality teaching and assessment. You will also contribute to educational innovation and scholarship, helping to establish Liverpool as a leader in modern pharmacy education.

About you

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative educator with a relevant background in pharmacy practice and a commitment to high-quality teaching and student support. You will be motivated to contribute to a new programme and work as part of a supportive, forward-thinking academic team.

You will have:

  • Experience of teaching in higher education with evidence of delivering high-quality learning and positive student outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support students effectively
  • A degree in Pharmacy and registration as a pharmacist with the GPhC  or PSNI
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and delivering an excellent student experience

Desirable experience includes curriculum development, engagement with GPhC accreditation processes, and expertise in areas such as prescribing, simulation, or experiential learning.
