Computer Science at DMU is ranked 201-300 worldwide in the Shanghai Ranking and 301-400 in the THES World University Rankings due to the international nature and high relevance of its research. Alongside the university as a whole, we have huge ambitions for the future in terms of our offering to students and the quality and scale of our research.
The Cyber Technology Innovations cluster (formerly known as Cyber Technology Institute) of the Digital Future Institute at DMU has the highest recognition from the UK National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ): Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (Gold) since 2022 – one of only thirteen institutes in the UK. The MSc in Cyber Security is also fully accredited by the NCSC.
