Description
The Shiv Nadar School of Law, Chennai invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Public Law.
The successful applicant will be able to teach core courses in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law as well as electives based on their area of specialty or competence. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. (or nearing completion) by the time of appointment and provide evidence of a strong research trajectory. Applicants with a Master's degree in Law may be considered for a Lecturer Position.
Located in a lush 230-acre campus thirty minutes south of the metropolis of Chennai, and in proximity to Kovalam Beach, the Shiv Nadar School of Law Chennai combines liberal arts and legal education and takes undergraduates for a five-year integrated B.A., LL.B. degree. The faculty includes a broad range of scholars, from Law, Philosophy, Economics and Political Science. Faculty enjoy an unusual degree of freedom and support in both teaching and research. The school is entering its third year of accepting students, but is part of Shiv Nadar University and funded by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, the largest philanthropic educational institution in India, which has funded 11 schools, universities and literacy programs across India since 1994. Qualifications
Ph.D. from a major institution. Applicants with Master's degrees in Law may be considered for a Lecturer Position. Undergraduate teaching experience is an advantage.
