As part of our continuing expansion of medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare sciences at Bangor University, the North Wales Medical School is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for this permanent, full-time role of Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Simulation Practice.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant to contribute to the design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of clinical skills teaching and assessment for the undergraduate and graduate entry medical programme. You will work in close collaboration with, and report to, the Clinical Skills and Simulation Lead Senior Lecturer. Candidates should be educated to degree standard in a relevant clinical area and have previous experience in clinical skills and simulation teaching and possess the required teaching qualification (or be able and willing to obtain within 3 years of appointment).
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this role. If applicants are not able to speak / write in Welsh at present, there are many opportunities to learn if the successful candidate wishes to do so.
This role will have an academic base at Bangor main campus, with visits to clinical teaching centres and Wrexham campus as required.
Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
