Proficient in Python or R programming. Experience in high-throughput compute cluster and Unix/Linux environment. Effective manuscript writing and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to publish your scientific results in the peer-review journals. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and who is extremely organised. About the Institute/Project
The Rosenfeld lab at the Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, pioneers new approaches for non-invasive molecular diagnostics and analysis of cancer genomes and evolution, using next-generation sequencing of circulating cell-free tumour DNA (cfDNA). We work with large collections of patient samples from different clinical studies, which we analyse use both genome-wide and targeted sequencing data for sensitive cancer detection. We aim to develop novel tools for cancer diagnostics by improving analytical methods and demonstrating their clinical utility. Furthermore, we explore the biophysical properties of cfDNA to identify its origins and interactions.
