This is a rare opportunity to lead and shape practical education and training across the United Kingdom’s cathedral and heritage sector, working within some of the country’s most significant historic buildings and conservation environments.

The Cathedrals’ Workshop Fellowship is a national educational charity supporting heritage craft education, conservation skills and workforce development across a network of cathedral organisations and sector partners. • educational innovation and future pathway development
  • partnership engagement across cathedrals, universities and the heritage sector
  • contribution to wider organisational growth and strategic development

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative leader who combines strong organisational capability with a commitment to practical education and training.

You will bring:

  • significant experience within higher education, vocational training or quality leadership
  • strong understanding of academic quality assurance and compliance
  • experience leading programmes, projects or distributed operational delivery
  • excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • the ability to balance strategic leadership with practical delivery
  • enthusiasm for heritage, conservation, construction or craft related sectors

Desirable experience includes:

  • collaborative provision with universities or awarding organisations
  • curriculum development and educational innovation
  • heritage, conservation or cathedral sector knowledge
  • teaching qualifications or professional recognition

The role offers:

  • salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
  • full time permanent position
  • flexible hybrid working arrangements

  • professional autonomy and leadership responsibility
  • opportunity to shape a growing national organisation with significant sector impact
