About the role
Applications are invited for a full-time Research Fellow position to work with Prof Beraldo on the project “Singularities of arithmetic schemes”.
This post is available from 1st August 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter for 24 months in the first instance.
This post will be appointed at Grade 7, Spine Point 31-32, £45,103- £46,261.
Please note: Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent on award and confirmation of a PhD (or equivalent). If this is not the case, the initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B, point 25 (salary £ 39,148 per annum inclusive of London allowance) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
About you
The successful candidate should either have a PhD or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or should be finalising their PhD or waiting for their viva date, have a proven track record in research and publishing and a strong desire to work at the heart of, and fully participate in, an active research group in the field. They should also have an interest in, and research experience is some of following subjects: Algebraic Geometry, Number theory, Representation Theory, Derived Geometry.
An outstanding candidate is expected to have a strong background in algebraic geometry.
