Do you have teaching specialisation in drama and performance? We are looking to appoint a full-time Assistant Professor in Drama in the School of English at the University of Nottingham. You would join us on a fixed-term teaching contract from 1st September 2026 to 31st May 2027.
You will be asked to contribute to a core first-year module, Drama, Theatre, Performance; to contribute and convene a second year-module, Twentieth-Century Plays; and to contribute to a final-year module, Changing Stages: Theatre Industry and Theatre Art. You might also be asked to contribute more widely to our teaching, tutoring and research activites in the School of English.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area of drama and performance. You will be able to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience of teaching practical drama workshops is essential.

Selection Process

Interviews will take place on Microsoft Teams. The interview includes a short teaching presentation to School of English staff.
