The post is in the Centre for Clinical Research in Infection and Sexual Health in in the Department of Infection and Population Health. The Centre is dedicated to advancing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases and improving sexual health outcomes.
The Centre is closely linked to the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL).
About the role
The Clinical Lecturer/Clinical Professor will be a member of the Centre for Clinical Research in Infection and Sexual Health with an honorary consultant contract at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). The focus of their work will be to develop a programme of research in any of the areas of interest of the Centre, while contributing to the ongoing management of the large portfolio of studies undertaken in collaboration with our clinical service and research partners.
The work is expected to include observational and interventional clinical and epidemiological studies. The post holder will undertake teaching and research student supervision in the Institute for Global Health and have clinical responsibilities in the sexual health and/or HIV/BBV service at CNWL.
Appointment will be at Clinical Lecturer/Clinical Professor level on the academic career path; the level to be decided on appointment, dependent on experience and achievements to date.
The salary will be on the Clinical Academic Consultant pay scale.
CNWL operates a mentoring scheme for new consultants.
The Institute for Global Health support flexible working. The position is open to both full-time and part-time staff.
This role is available from Autumn 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be required to have an AAC interview as part of the appointment process, with details on this to follow.
