REPORTS TO: Curriculum Quality Lead

Role Purpose

The Curriculum Quality Advisor supports the design, review, and continuous enhancement of curriculum and assessment across the institution. The role ensures programmes are inclusive, high-quality, and aligned with institutional and regulatory standards. Working closely with academic teams, the post holder will promote best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement, contributing to the Centre for Academic Excellence’s goal of improving academic quality and student outcomes. The role will be based in London but we can also be flexible for other GBS locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, review, and enhancement of curriculum and assessment in line with institutional strategy and sector requirements.
  • Deliver workshops and training to academic staff on curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment best practice.
  • Embed digital innovation, inclusive approaches, and generative AI within curriculum development.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of programmes, providing constructive feedback and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues to ensure consistency, quality, and innovation across provision.
  • Maintain accurate records of curriculum activity, feedback, and measurable impact.
  • Respond to insights from data, student feedback, and KPIs to drive improvements.
  • Contribute to institutional resources, guidance, and dissemination of good practice.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in curriculum design, review, and enhancement within higher education.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary pedagogy, assessment, and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to tailor approaches to diverse programmes and student cohorts.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, inclusivity, and professional development.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience integrating digital technologies and generative AI into curriculum design.
  • Experience supporting academic staff with curriculum development and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of regulatory, partnership, or professional body requirements.
