University of Bradford
The University of Bradford’s mission is to drive sustainable social and economic development, through outstanding teaching, translational research, creative enterprise, and transformative innovation. We play an important role in our community, nationally and internationally in creating opportunity and enhancing prosperity.
In 2024 we launched the Bradford-Renduchintala Enterprise Ecosystem (BREE), a £2.6m programme which aims to stimulate and support the development of new business and social enterprises in our University and city. Through this programme, students, researchers, staff, graduates and community members are inspired to set up enterprises, receive training and mentoring, have access to seed and growth funding, and develop their new enterprises within an open, inclusive entrepreneurial environment that enables them to succeed.
Safeguarding
The University of Bradford is committed to safeguarding, protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and Adults at Risk through robust safer recruitment practices.
Directorate
This is an exciting role, and we are seeking someone who shares our values and passion to contribute to a diverse and prosperous city, and who can lead programmes that ensure enterprises created by students, researchers, staff, graduates, and disadvantaged members of our community receive the team development, mentoring and financial support needed to grow and thrive. This will involve building mentor networks, recruiting and developing entrepreneurial talent, and identifying new sources of investment and funding both private and public. This is also a hands-on role, providing direct support to entrepreneurship workshops and coaching support to founder teams as needed. The position requires a high level of initiative, good all-round business knowledge and an empathetic and sensitive approach. In addition to delivering programmes, the role involves managing external training agencies. We are looking for a committed team player, who can lead directly and through liaison with colleagues.
