About us
UCL Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) brings together specialist teams that work with students, academics and external partners to accelerate innovation, enterprise and real-world impact.
At the heart of UCL’s mission to create positive change through research, innovation and knowledge exchange, we develop policy, partnerships and collaborative initiatives that embed knowledge exchange across the university and create an environment where innovation can thrive.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how knowledge exchange and innovation (KEI) is governed and delivered across UCL.
As Knowledge Exchange Policy & Governance Officer, you will support the development and implementation of policy and governance frameworks that enable KEI activity across the institution. Working closely with the KE Policy Manager, you will help translate strategic priorities into practical policies, processes and guidance that support a culture of KEI excellence. You will also contribute to embedding consistent governance approaches across UCL.
Key responsibilities include:
The role offers the opportunity to contribute to cross-institutional KEI initiatives while developing expertise in policy, governance and organisational change within a leading university.
Hybrid working is available, with remote working for part of the week.
About you
You are comfortable working with complex information and turning it into clear, practical recommendations, guidance and communications. You have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
You will also demonstrate:
Experience in policy development, governance, higher education, or innovation and enterprise environments would be advantageous.
Above all, you will share our commitment to supporting UCL’s strategic ambitions in knowledge exchange and innovation through collaboration and continuous improvement.
