Lecturer (A) in Psychology (Applied Behaviour Analysis)

Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer in Psychology (Applied Behaviour Analysis) Contract Type A, at the School of Psychology at University of Galway. 

The School offers four postgraduate programmes at MSc / doctoral level which are oriented toward professional preparation, and a vibrant PhD research programme. We are now looking to recruit an outstanding colleague to join our team.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the delivery of learning and teaching, research supervision, and to contribute to programme leadership and administrative functions in the School. The focus of their teaching contribution to the School will be our MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Structured PhD in Applied Behaviour Analysis.

The lecturer will have primary responsibilities within the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Applicants should have a Ph.D. qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis and be (or be eligible to be) a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA). Candidates should have proven expertise in the practice of Applied Behaviour Analysis

The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral award in an area of Behavioural Psychology (Applied Behaviour Analysis); have experience in authoring peer-reviewed research publications in the field of Psychology, and research interests in an area of Psychology that complement our existing specialisms clustered around Brain & Behaviour and Health & Wellbeing. The successful candidate should have proven expertise in the practice of Applied Behaviour Analysis; and be (or be eligible to be) a Chartered Behavioural Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland and/or a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board.

Salary: €64,903 to €103,538 per annum (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
