The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre is seeking to recruit a full-time Clinical Data Integration Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge translational cancer research, supporting the development and integration of advanced data pipelines that enable improved clinical decision-making for patients with gynaecological cancer.

The post holder will be embedded within the Cancer Clinical Informatics (CCI) Team while supporting the Women's Cancers Programme. The role will focus on data ETLs via pipeline development, and system interoperability, ensuring high-quality, well-structured datasets are available for research and clinical use.

The Women's Cancers Programme comprises a multi-disciplinary research team from the Department of Oncology, Department of Radiology, the Strangeways Research Laboratory, and the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. The work is supported by research nurses, practitioners, data managers, laboratory staff, and clinical colleagues across pathology and radiology. The Programme has a strong track record in germline genetics, cancer genomics, circulating tumour DNA, and functional imaging.

As part of the CCI team, the post holder will work across key systems including EPIC (EHR), LIMS, REDCap, and cBioPortal, supporting the secure and efficient flow of data between clinical and research environments. A core aspect of the role will be to design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions, enabling researchers to access high-quality, harmonised datasets.

The role requires close collaboration with Principal Investigators, clinical teams, and technical colleagues to ensure that data is collected, processed, and integrated in line with research protocols, governance standards, and institutional strategy. The post holder will also engage with a broad range of user groups and stakeholders, communicating technical concepts to both specialist and non-specialist audiences, gathering requirements, and supporting the adoption of data and system solutions across the programme.

Informal enquiries are welcomed and should be directed to: Marcin Waryszak, Cancer Clinical Informatics Lead, (Email: mw791@cam.ac.uk)
