We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and professional PA to join our team in a pivotal support role. Working closely with senior departmental leaders, you will provide comprehensive executive and administrative support across a broad range of activities, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of key departmental functions.
The post holder will support the Head and Deputy Head of Administration and Finance and will be expected to provide diary management, arrange the annual schedule of committee meetings and events, including room booking and catering and liaise with HR and sub-department administrative officers for the issue of University visitor cards. The postholder will also be expected to be the first port of call for visitors and enquiries. The post holder will also provide support to the Head of Department’s Office in the Executive Assistant’s absence.
This is an exciting and challenging role requiring the post holder to coordinate activities including Building Services, Health and Safety and Personnel. They will deliver good customer service to both internal and external customers. The post holder must be confident, proactive, with strong organisational skills and be sensitive to the confidential nature of much of the work. An ability to deal with a wide variety of duties and responsibilities and still meet deadlines is vital.
About you
You will have proven experience of managing diaries and providing comprehensive executive support, as well as the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, meeting deadlines in a busy environment. You will have demonstrable experience of producing high-quality correspondence and administrative documentation, strong numeracy skills with experience in financial administration and excellent communication and organisational skills.
