ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.
ARU Peterborough opened its doors to students in September 2022. The university was delivered in partnership with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Peterborough City Council. ARU Peterborough will provide transformational and inclusive higher education for the city and region.

About the Role:
As part of this exciting project, we are developing our engineering provision and are looking for an individual with an innovative and disruptive approach to engineering education who will develop and drive forward strategies to attract and retain a diverse range of people to our courses. The successful candidate will be committed to building curricula which will develop graduates with the skills and behaviours required by an engineer in the 21st century.
As such we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Full-time or fractional) with expertise in Electro-Mechanical Engineering to contribute to the teaching of the Engineering portfolio which includes BEng(Hons) Mechanical Engineering and Level 6 apprenticeships in Manufacturing Engineering and Electro-Mechanical Engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates with industrial experience in green technology, net zero and decarbonisation and in using innovative, industry relevant and engaging teaching techniques which focus on non-technical skills development as much as technical.
