The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute (CI) is a joint venture between Cancer Research UK and the University of Cambridge and is situated on the Addenbrooke's Biomedical Campus in Cambridge. The Institute aims to link the laboratory to the clinic carrying out cancer research of direct relevance to patients. We aim to save more lives by preventing, controlling and curing cancer. Our science holds the solution.
We are eagerly searching for a Research Administrator to join our established team of administrators within the Institute. Each administrator supports their own portfolio of groups, working closely with Group Leaders, Core Facility Heads and their teams to deliver high-quality administrative support.
The Research Administration team play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of research activities across the Institute. By providing comprehensive administrative support, the team enables Group Leaders, Core Facility Heads and their groups to remain focused on delivering world-class research.
Our current vacancy is for a Research Administrator who will provide dedicated support for the Core Facility Teams and an additional group within the Institute. The post-holder will act as a key point of contact supporting a range of activities including diary management, meeting coordination, conference and travel booking, plus general operational support.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised, articulate and adaptable administrator. They will be an effective team player with a high standard of interpersonal skills, able to provide efficient and confidential support. They should be able to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with others. The post-holder will benefit from being part of a supportive and experienced administrative community within the Institute, with opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
We offer hybrid working allowing staff to split their time between in-person collaboration and remote working. The balance of remote working will be agreed with your line manager taking into account the needs of the teams you support.
Fixed-term: 31 March 2031.
