This is a fixed term appointment for two years
The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment is a world-leading centre for the study of the economics and social sciences of climate change and other global environmental problems, based at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
The Research Manager will play a central role in supporting and strengthening the Institute’s research funding and outputs activity. Working closely with academic colleagues and the Institute’s Senior Management Team, the post holder will oversee the development and submission of high-quality, competitive research funding applications, providing expert advice on funding opportunities and processes.
The role will involve project-managing complex grant applications, ensuring compliance with funder and School requirements, and contributing directly to the development and quality assurance of proposals. The post holder will also lead on the management and reporting of research outputs, ensuring compliance with open access, data management and regulatory requirements, and supporting the promotion of responsible and ethical research practices.
In addition, the Research Manager will develop and deliver training and guidance for researchers, build strong working relationships across LSE and with external stakeholders, and provide management information to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
