We are seeking an experienced reporting and data analyst to join our strategic planning and performance team and to contribute to a major new technology project.
The University of Chester is implementing a new student records management system that will manage the full student lifecycle and hold information about all of our students, our graduates, and the courses they attend. The Senior Reporting and Data Analyst will work with the Data Analysis and Statutory Returns Manager to lead the activity to design, develop and implement the delivery of data, management information and regulatory reporting to the University.
The postholder will have significant experience of using business intelligence platforms and data visualisation tools (such as Tableau and PowerBI) to produce dashboards and reports. They will lead the development of reports and reporting tools from the new system, both designing reports themselves and guiding other members of the Strategic Planning and Performance team in report writing. The post holder must be confident in working with very large and complex data sets, with excellent analytical skills and experience of SQL query writing, they will ideally also have experience of preparing statutory returns in an education setting.
The post holder will act as the reporting workstream lead, working closely with the project team, technology providers, information services, academic registry and planning teams to ensure the system is properly set up to meet our student data reporting needs.
