Kingston Business School is seeking to appoint an ambitious and talented Lecturer in Accounting & Finance to join the Department of Accounting, Finance and Informatics.
We are particularly interested in applications from early-career researchers with expertise in Accounting and Finance who can contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and demonstrate the potential to develop a strong research profile.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and enhancement of our Accounting and Finance portfolio through high-quality teaching, assessment, module leadership and student support. You will be expected to teach across a range of Accounting and Finance subjects, contribute to curriculum development and quality enhancement, and support student recruitment and engagement activities.
The role provides an opportunity to develop and maintain an active programme of research aligned to Kingston University's Research Domain Framework. You will hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in Accounting or Finance and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. You should be able to teach Accounting and Finance subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and have experience of supporting diverse student cohorts. A developing research profile, evidenced through a publication pipeline, conference presentations or other scholarly activities, is essential.
The Department of Accounting, Finance and Informatics delivers a broad portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and maintains strong links with industry, professional bodies and external stakeholders. Our academic staff are actively engaged in research, knowledge exchange and pedagogic innovation, creating an environment that supports both academic excellence and professional relevance.
There are two full-time, permanent positions with a starting salary of £45,025 per annum.
Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday, 20 August 2026.
For informal enquiries, please contact Dr John Sebastian Pereira, Head of Department, Accounting, Finance and Informatics.
