The Department of Psychology at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions. With regard to specialty, area is open, although preferences will be given to candidates with expertise in Clinical, Developmental and/or Quantitative Psychology. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. Candidates in Clinical Psychology should also have completed formal graduate-level training as a clinical psychologist.

  • CV
  • Research statement: A statement (up to 3 pages) of major accomplishments in research, citing up to 5 significant publications, creative works or other scholarly contributions, and explaining their significance.
  • Teaching statement: A statement (up to 3 pages) of teaching philosophy and methodology.
  • List of all Ph.D. and postdoctoral supervisors or senior authors with close and regular collaborations (full name, institution and email address)
  • Sample copies of significant publications (up to 5)
  • Evidence of teaching ability (e.g. student feedback or peer review reports) and contributions to education (e.g. curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, production of teaching materials), if any

Applicants should also arrange for at least 3 letters of reference (including one from the candidate’s main Ph.D. advisor, and one from the candidate’s postdoctoral supervisor) to be sent directly to Ms Loo Bee Bee at psylbb@nus.edu.sg.

Campus visits are expected to take place in January 2027. Prior to campus visits, remote pre-interviews with shortlisted candidates may be conducted.
