The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Engineering Design on the Teaching and Practice (T&P) or Teaching and Scholarship (T&S) career path.
You will deliver undergraduate teaching in areas related to engineering design, practice, and applied professional disciplines. You will develop and update the current curriculum according to AHEP4 requirements and produce and deliver course materials aligned with current best practice informed by our industry partners. This will also involve support for delivery of laboratory experiments, supervision of undergraduate research projects, and Capstone activities where our students work with industry to tackle real-world problems.
The Department was an early adopter of the Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate (CDIO) framework to develop its engineering education strategy, moving away from passive lectures toward active, hands-on, and industry-aligned experiential learning. You will be expected to be a key contributor to ongoing and future CDIO developments.
Interviews and presentations will take place at the University of Liverpool on Wednesday 15th July 2026.
