Role overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join the University of Sunderland in London as a Visitor Services Associate.

This role provides a key front-of-house presence, acting as the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, delivering a responsive, professional and welcoming service.

The successful candidate will bring excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities and the confidence to manage a busy reception environment, ensuring a high-quality experience for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional and welcoming front-of-house service to all visitors.
  • Provide accurate information and resolve queries or escalate where needed.
  • Manage reception operations, including visitor flow and maintaining a professional environment.
  • Support building access and security processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and update systems in a timely manner.
  • Support key student activities and work collaboratively with internal teams.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a customer-facing environment delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a busy environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and systems use.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and reliability.

Desirable

  • Experience in a higher education or similar environment.
  • Experience supporting events or student-focused activities.
