We seek to appoint two highly motivated, teaching-focused academics as Teaching and Scholarship Lecturers in the School of Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Liverpool. You will contribute to the delivery of the School’s Computer Science programmes offered through our transnational education partnerships, with an initial focus on delivery in Fuzhou, China.
You will be expected to spend periods of the academic year working with the Liverpool team in Fuzhou, China, normally through agreed teaching blocks. The precise pattern of overseas working will be agreed in advance and will depend on programme needs; it is not expected to involve continuous residence overseas.
Duties will include teaching, assessment, student support, project supervision, liaison with partner colleagues, and contribution to the quality assurance of Liverpool programmes delivered overseas. Most activity in the first instance will be focused on Transnational Education (TNE), although the post holders will be members of the School’s academic community and may also contribute to School activities in Liverpool as required.
You should hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related subject or have equivalent academic/professional experience where this is permitted by University appointment criteria. Teaching experience in higher education is strongly preferred. Experience of teaching international cohorts, working with overseas partners, or contributing to TNE delivery would be an advantage.
Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
We are committed to enhancing a workforce as diverse as our community and particularly encourage applicants who are of minoritised genders and ethnic backgrounds, living with a disability, and/or are members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
