This is a pivotal academic leadership role at LCCA, responsible for the quality, performance, and day-to-day management of the Level 3 Business Management and Hospitality and Event Management cohorts.

Working closely with the Academic Dean and fellow directors, you will manage day-to-day operations across flexible delivery modes, fostering an inclusive environment that equips a diverse student body for immediate impact in the global service sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Leadership & Cohort Management: Take full accountability for the particular Level 3 intake, driving student retention, success metrics, and daily operations across flexible delivery modes (including evenings and weekends).
  • Quality Assurance & Governance: Oversee the integrity of the Level 3 provision by leading annual monitoring, chairing course committees, and ensuring all assessments and internal processes meet external and institutional standards.
  • Industry-Aligned Curriculum Delivery: Ensure teaching and learning reflect current global trends in Business and Hospitality, maintaining a vocationally-led environment that prepares a diverse student body for industry leadership.
  • Team Mentorship & Collaboration: Lead and develop a high-performing team of academic staff while working synchronously with fellow Course Directors to ensure a seamless and professional student journey.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Essential:
  • Relevant undergraduate and postgraduate qualification (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience teaching and assessing in Higher Education.
  • Experience leading and managing education (people, curriculum, quality & standards, students and recruitment).
  • Strong understanding of assessment design and feedback practice.
  • Ability to analyse and act on performance data to improve retention and attainment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Desirable:
  • Fellowship (or Senior Fellowship) of the Higher Education Academy.
  • PhD or higher-level research degree.
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to complete a PGCert in Education during employment).
  • Evidence of research, knowledge exchange or professional practice aligned to Business and Entrepreneurship.
