The University is making substantial investments in the Department of Computing and Mathematics with multiple Lecturer and Senior Lecturer appointments over the next calendar year.

About the Role

  • You will be a passionate educator who fully understands the pedagogic approaches needed to deliver excellent student experience and learning opportunities on the foundation and undergraduate courses you will teach. 
  • The role will be fixed-term for 3 years initially.

About You

  • We are seeking applications from individuals who have expertise in the field of Computing either through academic research or professional practice. 
  • You will have in-depth knowledge of current tools and techniques.   
  • We are specifically looking for expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Programming (e.g. Java, Rust, python, javascript, C++)
    • Computer Networking 
    • University Study Skills (report writing, note taking, literature reviews) 
    • Job Readiness (cv writing, interview techniques, mock assessment centres)
  • You will be expected to have experience in higher education-level teaching or mentoring in Computing.
