Background
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Fellow/Grade 6 Lecturer in Psychology with relevant academic and teaching experience. The postholder is expected to work primarily, although not exclusively, within the Research Methods teaching teams.
Responsibilities
The postholder will contribute to teaching, marking and student support across existing and new academic programmes in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. Working under the supervision of Module Leaders and other academic staff, they will enhance student learning and support the effective delivery of research methods training.
The role is designed to support academic staff through assistance with curriculum delivery and academic assessment. This will include the preparation and delivery of learning materials, support for small-group teaching and related learning activities, and the organisation and marking of formative and summative assessment tasks under the guidance of academic staff. The postholder will be expected to ensure that all learning support is delivered in accordance with relevant university policies and procedures, including current health and safety regulations.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a background in Psychology or a related discipline and be able and motivated to support the delivery of high-quality teaching on the BSc Psychology. They will contribute to teaching, marking, student support, and related administrative activities within the Department, working under the guidance of Module Leaders and other academic staff.
