About the role
The Department of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic practitioner as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Education, and Head of Pharmacy Practice, to strengthen the leadership team delivering our highly successful MPharm degree and taught postgraduate programmes in pharmacy. This is a full-time, permanent appointment.
The school of pharmacy delivers three successful MPharm courses (one at Bath and two at Plymouth) and a suite of postgraduate taught programmes. This represents an exceptional opportunity for a leader and innovator in pharmacy education to further develop our MPharm courses to enable our graduates to meet the future pharmaceutical needs of patients.
This is a new post to join our senior leadership team and lead on the Pharmacy Practice elements of the curriculum. You will bring a deep understanding of the current priorities in developing the pharmacy workforce and a desire to innovate. Experience in curriculum design would be welcome.

The Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath was established in 2022 through the merger of the former Departments of Biology & Biochemistry and Pharmacology & Pharmacy. We foster a strong interdisciplinary and collaborative culture supported by education and research centres. The department benefits from being centrally located at the heart of a modern campus-based University with close collaborations with other Science Departments, the Department for Health, Department of Psychology and School of Management.
